Higashiomi Daitoku-ji Jizo Bon Lantern Festival

The temple grounds transform into a soothing space lit by candles
A Jizo statue located in a corner of the Daitoku-ji temple grounds. It has long been a source of faith for the local people. August is the season for the traditional local event called "Jizo Bon." Many people visit for worship in the evening, and the temple grounds become lively. The lantern festival starts around 6:30 PM. Anyone can come to worship, so why not stop by? You can also park at Daitoku-ji and visit the Jizo statues along the way.
