Usa Jingu 1300th Anniversary Commemorative Panel Exhibition

Usa Jingu 1300th Anniversary Commemorative Panel Exhibition
Usa Jingu is revered as the head shrine of the Hachiman shrines, which are said to have over 40,000 shrines across the country. It is respected by the imperial family as the second most important shrine after Ise Jingu and has been widely cherished by the general public as a guardian deity since ancient times. The current shrine building was constructed in the second year of the Kamoku era (725) during the Nara period, and the year Reiwa 7 (2025) marks the 1300th anniversary of its establishment. This exhibition will present the history and highlights of Usa Jingu, celebrating its 1300 years of existence through photographic panels.
