An exhibition by Kaimon Yoshimizu, a craftsman/sculptor and cultural heritage conservation restorer. Yoshimizu was born in 1982 in a temple in Nara Prefecture. After completing the sculpture program at the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2006 and the doctoral course in cultural heritage conservation, he became interested in the statues created by Kaikei. In the latter half of the doctoral course at the same graduate school, he conducted research on the assumed restoration of the Amida Nyorai standing statue created by Kaikei at Todai-ji Temple in Nara. Currently, he operates a workshop called "Koushou-do" in Nara Prefecture, engaging in cultural heritage preservation and restoration.
