1st Period Permanent Exhibition of the 7th Year of Reiwa: "80 Years After the War: Okinawan Lacquerware Before and After the War - 2024 New Acquisitions Exhibition"

Urasoe City Art Museum will hold the 1st period permanent exhibition of the 7th year of Reiwa, "80 Years After the War: Okinawan Lacquerware Before and After the War - 2024 New Acquisitions Exhibition" from May 18 (Sunday) to September 7 (Sunday). This period's permanent exhibition will present two themes. The first is "80 Years After the War: Lacquerware Before and After the War." The Ryukyu lacquerware from before the Okinawa War is a representative local product of Okinawa, and the changes in society before and after the war will be introduced through lacquerware. The other is the "New Acquisitions Exhibition." This will showcase works collected in the fiscal year 2024.
