Kannonji Hydrangea Festival

A temple belonging to the Rinzai sect Myoshinji, consisting of Kannonji in Tsuboi-cho, Saeki Ward and Kannonji in Motoujina-cho, Minami Ward. It is also known as the hydrangea temple, with 400 varieties and 5000 plants of hydrangeas in the precincts. The hydrangea festival is held every year, and on the first day, a special Nirvana painting is displayed. Starting at 11:00 on the same day, there will also be a shakuhachi performance by teachers. Enjoy a stroll through the hydrangeas with family and friends. Additionally, the wind chime festival is also held during this period, so let's listen to the refreshing sound of the wind chimes.
