At the southernmost tip of Tokushima Prefecture, Kaiyo Town in Awa County is a calm town facing the Pacific Ocean. It features a rugged coastline and is an area that attracts many people for marine sports. There are two classes set up: a 2.1km class that circles the gentle Takegashima Marine Park and a 3.7km class that navigates the rough waves of the Pacific and the scattered small islands.
