70th Anniversary of Town Designation - Okutama Summer Fireworks Festival

Fireworks launched amidst majestic mountains
Surrounded by the vast mountains of Okutama, fireworks shine in the clear night sky. They are launched from the summit of Mount Atago, allowing for viewing from a wide area around Okutama Station. One of the attractions is enjoying the rich nature of Okutama while still being in Tokyo. A festival will be held on the same day, featuring lion dances and portable shrines, as well as food stalls. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the town's establishment.
