The bronze statue of the 9th Generation Ichikawa Danjuro "Zan" restored behind Sensoji Temple in 1986 depicts the child Kamakura Gonburo, who has childlike lines. It is a robust and powerful child. The event "Crying Sumo" is held in conjunction with the memorial service, wishing for children to grow up strong and healthy like Kamakura Gonburo.
