Talk Event "Tailored Bodies": Reading the Philosophy of Dresses from Structure

Clothing specimens expert Akira Hasegawa discusses the culture of fashion

Pola Cultural Institute Makeup Culture Gallery

5/22(Thu) 14:00~19:30

We welcome clothing specimen expert Akira Hasegawa as a guest to discuss the changes in dress silhouettes from the 19th to 20th century and various accessories. The event will feature a special exhibition of dresses from the 19th to 20th century from Hasegawa's collection, so come and admire them up close. Under the guidance of Hasegawa, who studies the "structural beauty" and "wearing comfort" of deconstructed historical garments that have been turned into specimens, why not explore the aesthetic sense of fashion?
