80th Honinbo Tournament Noshiro City Match Commemorative Go Tournament
Go tournament commemorating the Honinbo Tournament
The Honinbo Tournament, one of the seven major titles in Go, will be held at the former ryotei Kinyu in Noshiro City. A commemorative Go tournament will be held the day before the match day. Players will be classified based on their skill level as per the advance application. The basic format is even matches, but handicap games may be used depending on the class. Time limit is 45 minutes, played in 3 rounds. For details, please check the Noshiro City website. Awards will be given to the top three in each category. A merchandise corner is planned to be set up at the venue, where you can purchase commemorative goods and snacks related to the Honinbo Tournament.
