MOMAW Collection: Contemporary Art

"Held in conjunction with the 2025 World Expo (Osaka-Kansai Expo). Since its opening in 1970, the same year as the previous Osaka Expo, the Wakayama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art has a rich history of 55 years. A diverse collection cultivated alongside the era of 'modern' can be enjoyed throughout the year with several display changes.

The museum is closed on Mondays (the following weekday if it is a public holiday). Admission is until 16:30.

General 400 yen (300 yen), University students 250 yen (200 yen) * The prices in parentheses are for groups of 20 or more. Free for high school students and below, seniors aged 65 and above, and those with a disability certificate.

200 yen for the first hour, then 100 yen for every additional 30 minutes.

About 15 minutes to Wakayama Castle from Wakayama IC on the Hanwa Expressway.

About 10 minutes by bus from JR Wakayama Station or Nankai Electric Railway Wakayama City Station, get off at 'Kenchomae' and walk about 2 minutes.
