At Baisoin, we offer courses for believers and the general public. Yasuhisa Honbayashi's '"Reconsidering Buddhist Folklore" (3)' consists of a total of three sessions. Traditional Buddhism has been deeply intertwined and merged with the culture, life, and spirit of the Japanese people. There is a history of Buddhism coming into contact with Japan's unique folklore (= foundational culture) and undergoing cultural transformation. Therefore, we will explore the process of the 'folklorization of Buddhism' through Buddhist events, along with the realm of Buddhist folklore (this is the third session of a series of 12 sessions across 4 periods). ■Note Please use the elevator in the main hall building or enter directly from the entrance of Soshido.
