Abeno Oji Shrine Summer Festival

Wishing for good health
A summer festival to pray for good health by ringing bells and drums to drive away illness. On the evening of the 27th, each district of the parish will hold a mikoshi and drum procession, and on the 28th, a grand mikoshi and drum cart will be carried on trucks, along with children's microbuses, in a procession through the Abeno district. The shrine area will be bustling with many visitors enjoying the evening coolness and various stalls.

- 27th (Yoimiya): Ritual events in various districts, 28th (Honnami): 12:00 PM - Grand Festival, 1:00 PM - Summer Festival Mikoshi Procession. 27th and 28th from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM: Night stalls in the shrine precincts and surrounding areas. Traffic restrictions along the Kumano Highway on both days.
