Seeking the collaboration of Katakuri and Oyamazakura

Obayashi Furusato no Yama (Former Obayashi Park)

Mid-Apr~Late Apr

At Obayashi Furusato no Yama in Mishima Town, there is a group of Katakuri flowers covering approximately 8 hectares (about 2 Tokyo Domes). Katakuri starts to bloom from mid-April, followed shortly by several hundred Oyamazakura and Someiyoshino trees. Depending on the year, visitors can stroll through the purple Katakuri and pale pink cherry blossoms. From late April to mid-May, Yaezakura, azaleas, and Paulownia flowers will also be at their best. Let's go out to see the scenery unique to this season. The Katakuri Sakura Festival will also be held from April 25 to April 27. ■Notes There are guide signs along National Route 252 in the town leading to the venue.
