Kozamu Ogata (1949-2022) was a ceramic artist from Iwamizawa City, who engaged in a creative activity based in Hokkaido throughout his life. His works are characterized by the beauty achieved through the use of a technique called “Neriage,” which employs a combination of delicate lines resembling geometric patterns, and have received high acclaim both domestically and internationally. This exhibition introduces approximately 40 years of works created from the early 1980s, when he began his journey as a ceramic artist, until 2021, when he established his unique Neriage technique.
