Report Exhibition 'A Large Trench Found - The 3rd Excavation Survey of the Takamiyoshi Ruins'

The Izumo City Cultural Property Division will conduct an investigation of the Takamiyoshi ruins on the road portion of the planned residential land development site from January to March 2024 (Reiwa 6). As part of the investigation results, the confirmation of the trench and well remains in the center of the excavation area, as well as the discovery of artifacts such as pottery from the Yayoi period, Nara period, and Kamakura period can be highlighted. This time, we will introduce the situation of the southeastern part of the Takamiyoshi ruins, which has been increasingly revealed recently.
