In commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the death of the samurai and daimyō Nagai Naokatsu from Hekinan, this exhibition introduces the history of the Nagata family, who gave birth to Naokatsu, and the Nagai family. Naokatsu served as a close aide to Tokugawa Ieyasu and produced three great daimyō families from his descendants. Additionally, Naokatsu's father, Nagata Heiemon, is said to be a descendant of the Taira clan, and even after Naokatsu left Mikawa, the Nagata family welcomed the Meiji era as the priests of Kumano Shrine in Ohama. This exhibition displays materials related to Nagai Naokatsu and the Nagata and Nagai families. ■Notes Gallery Talks: May 25, 31, June 8, 14, 21, 28, July 6 from 14:00
