The wisteria flowers, which bloom gracefully with long flower clusters of pale purple and light pink, are said to be a traditional flower tree in Japan and are even mentioned in the Manyoshu. By late April, the wisteria flowers reach their peak bloom, and the park is enveloped in the gentle fragrance of wisteria. The 70-meter-long wisteria tunnel near the main gate is attracting attention as the 'Path of Happiness'.
