The Ikuta Collection held by the museum consists of Noh-related materials collected over two generations from the Meiji to Taisho periods. This exhibition features major materials such as small and large drums, which have been highly valued as research materials in music history, instrument technology, and art history. Through this rare display of drums, we delve into the craftsmanship of instrument making and the artistic charm of diverse decorations, as well as introduce the two collectors who supported the continuation of Noh in the modern era. ■Notes Since the viewing route in the general exhibition room is 4 km, if you are in a hurry, it is recommended to use the central staircase and view from Exhibition Room 3.
