Dōmyōji Tenmangū Shakuten

Event to honor Confucius
Dōmyōji Tenmangū, which houses Japan's oldest wooden statue of Confucius, has been holding the Shakuten Festival to honor Confucius since the 36th year of the Meiji era. On the day, there will be a ceremony, lectures on classical texts, tea ceremonies from the Omotesenke school, and a special tea seat from the Kagetsuan school, with lunch also provided.
