Kiyotaki Great Torch

A grand fire festival to worship the spirits of ancestors
On August 15th, local youth carry a giant torch with a diameter of 1 meter up Kiyotakiyama to welcome the spirits of the departed. The first fire is lit at the summit, providing a spectacular view. Entry to Kiyotakiyama (Torch Mountain) is not allowed for those outside of the district on August 14th and 15th. *Schedules and whether the event will be held may change.
