Kiryūgawa Tenno Festival 2025
The grandeur of the mikoshi and the thrill of the character parade!
Starting at 10 am, offerings will be made at Kiryūgawa Shrine, followed by the mikoshi procession and the parade of characters from 4 pm to 11:30 pm. This festival has been held for over 400 years. During the day, there will be a procession of characters dressed as priests, tengu, and samurai, and in the evening, the mikoshi of Kiryūgawa Shrine will vigorously parade through the streets.
