At the Jōkansu Site in Arita, Itoshima City, over 1,500 wooden artifacts from the Yayoi period have been discovered. The tools that convey the way of life of people from that time reveal the rich lifestyles of the Izu Country people and include historically important findings. These have been designated as cultural properties of the city and serve as important narrators of the history of Izu Country. This exhibition commemorates the 30th anniversary of the excavation surveys, reflecting on the footprints of the investigation and the results based on the various materials discovered. ■Remarks There will be a lecture.
