The Rice Planting Festival heralding the arrival of early summer
The traditional and elegant rice planting ceremony is one of Japan's three major rice planting festivals, alongside Katori Shrine and Sumiyoshi Taisha, showcasing rich local culture. On the day of the event, the monthly festival will be held at Izawa Shrine. This rice planting ceremony is designated as an important intangible folk cultural asset of the country under the name 'Isobe's Sacred Rice Field'.
