The 40th Jin no Jō Festival

The great person born in Zaida Town, Mitoyo City, is Okubo Jin no Jō. (The 'Jin' means 'speech' combined with 'great') He devoted himself to the development of the Shikoku Expressway and proposed the introduction of Kagawa Prefectural Water as well as the concept of the Seto Ohashi Bridge, contributing not only to Kagawa Prefecture but also to the development of Shikoku. The 'Jin no Jō Festival' is held annually during the cherry blossom season in honor of his foresight and execution.
