Yobuko Great Tug-of-War

Join the great tug-of-war watched by daimyos from all over the country!
During the Bunroku and Keicho eras, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and various daimyos gathered around Nagoya. To boost the morale of the troops, it is said that Kato Kiyomasa and Fukushima Masanori's armies were divided and engaged in tug-of-war using the ropes of military ships, which marked the beginning of the Yobuko Great Tug-of-War. The center is a large mound made of rice straw and tatami mats, with fine nets draped over it, referred to as ''Mito''. The town of Yobuko divides into two groups, the Hama group and the Oka group, pulling it into their own territory, making it a festival to predict good catches and bountiful harvests.
