Soichiro Masuzawa (1914-1985), a printmaker from Okaya City, worked throughout his life to promote print education, incorporating it into school education as an elementary school teacher and conducting workshops for adults in the community. Masuzawa depicted the landscapes and lifestyles of the Suwa region through monochrome and color woodblock prints. In these works, one can see nostalgic scenes from the Showa era, such as hole fishing in Lake Suwa, thatched-roof houses, and people in farm clothing. This exhibition introduces new acquisitions.
