A ritual held at Kumano Hayatama Taisha. At 6 PM, a national treasure, the hinoki fan, is erected in the shrine, and prayers are offered for national stability, good health, and family safety. The grounds are lined with night stalls, and many visitors wearing summer kimonos come to cool off.
