An event in collaboration with Tezukayama University and the Historic City of Asuka Preservation Foundation. During the Asuka period, the Kurasaku clan, a group of immigrants who significantly contributed to ancient techniques and culture, lived around Sakata in Asuka. Professor Akihiro Shimizu of Tezukayama University's Faculty of Literature and Director of the Archaeological Research Institute will give a lecture in the morning themed 'The Kurasaku Clan and Sakata Temple', and in the afternoon, there will be a local walk from the Central Community Center to Tachibana Temple (distant view) to Sakata Temple ruins to Miyotsuka Tumulus to Ishibutai Tumulus (distant view) to the 'Ishibutai' bus stop. First 50 people (reservation required). Deadline for applications is September 5 (Friday). ■Notes Application methods will be listed on the website. Phone reception hours are weekdays from 8:30 to 17:15.
