Nangu Taisha Reitaisai

Numerous dances designated as Important Intangible Folk Cultural Assets are offered
A procession of three portable shrines is held at the Otabishin Shrine located in Fuchu, Tarui Town. Along the way, a tower called Hebiyama is constructed at a festival venue called Ichiban-no, where the portable shrines pass by and during stops, the snake head is vigorously shaken up and down and side to side in time with the festival music, causing it to open and close its mouth. When the portable shrines return, in front of the Hebiyama at Ichiban-no, children selected for that year perform three types of dances called Kanko-mai alternately in sync with the festival songs.
