2025 Inoshima Suigun Festival (Umi Matsuri)

The Inoshima Suigun Festival is a festival that recreates the Murakami Suigun, who were active based in Inoshima from the Nanboku-chō period through the Muromachi and Sengoku periods, with the entire community in Inoshima participating to liven it up. In 2025, "Umi Matsuri" will be held on August 31 (Sunday) and "Shima Hi Matsuri" will be held on September 20 (Saturday). During the "Umi Matsuri", a race will be held using the wooden boats "Kohaya" which were used by the Murakami Suigun as messenger boats. An experience with Kohaya will also be held on a first-come, first-served basis!\n
