Okitsu Bay Lantern Floating
The charm of lanterns mystically illuminating the sea at dusk!
A traditional event held at Okitsu Beach during the Obon festival. Participants hand over lanterns made to honor ancestors and pray for safety at sea, placing them on boats to float out into the ocean. They are surrounded by the enchanting lights swaying in the summer night. Additionally, fireworks are launched after the lantern floating. Enjoy the collaboration of lanterns floating on the sea and fireworks illuminating the night sky.
