This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Asia-Pacific War. The Yonago City Sanin Historical Museum, Yonago City Art Museum, and Yonago City Buried Cultural Properties Center are collaborating to hold an exhibition that illuminates the horrors of war against the backdrop of a desire for lasting peace. The exhibition will showcase valuable materials from the wartime and postwar periods held by the Yonago City Sanin Historical Museum, works by artists who experienced war from the Yonago City Art Museum and nearby museums, and photographic works that convey the remnants of war. This will serve as an opportunity to reconsider how to pass on the memory of the devastation caused by war to future generations.
