In the 1950s, Mexican art was actively introduced in Japan, captivating many artists with its powerful forms of expression. This exhibition explores how artists attracted to Mexico perceived it. It also introduces the museum's collection of Mexican art and the development of this collection, along with the work of the first director, Masayoshi Honma. Through works, materials, and past exhibitions, this initiative examines the gaze of post-war Japan towards Mexican art from various angles. ■Remarks Please check the website for important notes regarding admission.
