This year marks the 150th anniversary of postal savings and the 190th anniversary of the birth of 'the father of postal services', Mizuta Suke. In the 3rd year of the Meiji era, Mizuta traveled to England immediately after planning the postal business and learned that post offices also handled exchange and savings services, leading to the start of postal savings in Japan in the 8th year of the Meiji era. This exhibition introduces the background of the establishment of the system and Mizuta's achievements, as well as the current efforts of Japan Post Bank. During the period, lectures and workshops are also planned.
