Special Exhibition 'Doll Master Naomasa'

A doll master who creates puppets (deko/dolls) for Awa puppet theater. Tokushima has produced many excellent doll masters and has supported not only Tokushima but also puppet theaters across the country. One of the currently active doll masters, 'Naomasa' (real name: Naoyuki Yoshida), learned Western representational sculpture and has continued to create Awa puppets for over 40 years while engaging in art education at a university. The exhibition will showcase various puppets and sculptures created by Naomasa as a doll master and sculptor.
