Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom at Sukezane Ichiyajo and Saigawa Embankment

The cherry blossoms against the backdrop of Sukezane Ichiyajo are a must-see
Sukezane Ichiyajo, said to have been built in one night by Kinoshita Toukichirou (later Toyotomi Hideyoshi) in the 9th year of the Eiroku era (1566), is surrounded by a cherry blossom avenue of about 1000 Somei Yoshino trees over 50 years old, which extends 2 km along the embankment of the Saigawa River flowing around the castle. Passing through the cherry blossom tunnel leads to Sukezane Ichiyajo (Ogaki City Sukezane Historical Museum), where the harmony between the castle and the cherry blossoms is remarkable, creating a scenic view. It has also been selected as one of the 33 Best Sakura Spots in Hida and Mino.
