Kawaguchi Lake Lantern Floating

A beautiful scene created by lanterns at the foot of Mt. Fuji
The lantern floating event at Lake Kawaguchi has become a traditional event during the Obon festival. By signing up at the "Lantern Registration Tent" in the venue, you can freely write messages or illustrations on the lanterns and float them on the lake. A solemn ceremony called "Music and Chanting Ceremony" will also be held, where prayers are offered alongside visitors. This is a great opportunity to express feelings for ancestors, so please consider participating. *Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and will end when the lanterns run out.
