The summer festival, held on the weekend just before Marine Day in July every year, is the main event of the onsen town. The two-day festival features portable shrines, traditional folk songs, lion dances, Kankuzu drums, and a fireworks festival. Many stalls line the streets, adding to the excitement of the festival. Public transportation is recommended.
