Alphonse Mucha, originally from the Czech Republic, is a representative artist of Art Nouveau that emerged in late 19th century Europe. He became a sensation of the era by creating theater posters for the famous actress Sarah Bernhardt, showcasing his diverse talents as a graphic designer, illustrator, and painter. This exhibition features about 500 works, including posters from his Paris period, decorative panels, design collections, product packages, and materials related to the Slavic Epic, including works that are making their debut in Shikoku. ■Note Related events: Gallery talk by the world-renowned collector Mr. Toshiyuki Ogata, for further details please check the website.
