[Sakura Viewing] Tateyama Park

Located on a high ground north of Atarazawa Station, the terminal of the JR Atarazawa Line, Tateyama Park is situated at the site of the former Tateyama Castle of the local feudal lord Oe. From the gazebo at the summit, you can enjoy the magnificent flow of the Mogami River below and the mountains of Asahi and Zao. Every year, the cherry blossoms in the park bloom splendidly from late April to early May, signaling the arrival of spring.
