Spring Basho Festival

A festival where you can enjoy the mood of Basho
The great poet Matsuo Basho recited his last haiku during his journey of Okuno Hosomichi in Ogaki. From here, Basho traveled down the Suimon River towards Kuwana. At the Spring Basho Festival, in addition to the boat rides, many events are held, such as the "Citizen Haiku Festival" inspired by Basho, the "Ogaki Castle Town Kimono Garden Party" unique to the castle town of Ogaki, and the "Great Tea Ceremony". Additionally, the "Machi-naka Square Garden" is held on the first Sunday of every month along Ogaki Station Street.
