In the 7th year of the Reiwa era, Omiya Station and Omiya Park celebrate their 140th anniversary. The area of Omiya has long been a gathering place for people, centered around the Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine, and prospered with the establishment of a post town during the Edo period. Later, during the Meiji era, 140 years ago, the station and park were established in Omiya, leading to its development as a railway town, a tourist destination near Tokyo, and a center for culture and sports, which has been cherished until today. This exhibition will introduce the region's journey centered around the Hikawa Shrine, Omiya Station, and Omiya Park through materials and old photographs.
