International Seal Day Event

Let's learn more about seals
March 22 is celebrated as "International Seal Day" every year. It is said to have been established by the U.S. Congress in 1982 with the aim of raising awareness about the current status of seals worldwide. The museum houses four spotted seals and provides stories not included in encyclopedias and introductions of each individual during the seal show. After the show, attendees will receive an original seal individual introduction card from the Shimoda Underwater Aquarium (limited quantity). ■ Notes The individual introduction cards are available in limited quantities (distribution will end when they run out).
