Fuji Mountain Inari Shrine Grand Festival

The earliest summer festival in Iida City
The grand festival held every year on the same date is known as the "Mugiwara Festival." The offering fireworks on July 7 add splendor to the festival as a precursor to summer festivals in Iida. For many years, local farmers have made wheat torches and burned them to pray for the dispelling of pests and epidemics, good harvests, good fortune, and protection from disasters, thus celebrating the "Mugiwara Festival."
