Wakayama Castle Main Keep - Summer Corner Exhibition - The Moat and Stone Walls of Wakayama Castle

This time, we are exhibiting materials discovered and collected during the filming of TV Tokyo's "Emergency SOS! The Great Operation to Drain the Moat" conducted last summer for the first time! We will introduce valuable materials that tell the history of Wakayama Castle, including the complete-shaped nokimaru tiles newly discovered by draining the moat along with the history and role of the moats and stone walls!

Entrance is usually until 17:00. Nighttime opening will be held on July 25 and 26, August 1, 2, and from August 8 to 10, August 14 to 16, and August 22 and 23 until 20:00 (entry until 19:30). *On July 26 (Saturday), due to the Port Festival, it will be extended until 21:30 (entry until 21:00).

Fee

Adults 410 yen, Elementary and Middle School Students 200 yen. *Every Saturday, Elementary and Middle School Students are free. Residents of Wakayama City aged 65 and over and those with a disability certificate are also free.

Weekdays: Free for parking within 60 minutes, 320 yen for 60 to 90 minutes, and 160 yen for every additional 30 minutes. Weekends and holidays: 320 yen for 60 to 120 minutes, and 160 yen for every additional 60 minutes.

Access (Public)

Get off at "Wakayama Castle Mae" by bus from JR Wakayama Station or Nankai Wakayamashi Station.
