On the days of the procession (Owatari) and return (Okaeri), a parade consisting of about 1,000 people centered around the portable shrines and floats marches from Yasaka Shrine to Otabisho (Umizoe). This year's float duty is shared by 'Tamachi' and 'Honmachi'. The spirited young men ride the floats as they rush by. It is designated as an intangible folk cultural asset by the prefecture.
