Publication commemorative talk of the book
"Even so, I will continue to report on Iwo Jima" Publication commemorative talk for 'An Island that Cannot Return Without Dying'. 80 years after the war. Are you familiar with the reality of Iwo Jima? Of the 20,000 war dead civilians, 10,000 remain on the island and cannot return to their families on the mainland. The 1,000 islanders who lived rich lives before the war and their descendants are not allowed to resettle or even freely visit graves. An island where the freedom of movement and residence guaranteed by the constitution is not recognized. The author will thoroughly discuss the two issues of missing persons related to Iwo Jima.
