Egami Oki Ceremony & Egami Oki Traditional Cultural Festival

Somehow nostalgic, a good old-fashioned rural autumn festival
Once, Egami Port was a gathering place for the Mine District, bustling with loading and unloading of cargo, and it is believed that people involved in this would come to pray here. September 12 is known as 'Oki Ceremony' or 'Egami's Twelfth Day' and is the large autumn festival of Egami Hachiman Shrine. Currently, it is held on the Sunday closest to September 12 each year, coinciding with the Shinto procession from Nishinomiya Hachiman Shrine to Egami Hachiman Shrine grounds, making the Egami district filled with festival activities.
