2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Japan's defeat in World War II. Artists like Chihiro Iwasaki, who experienced war, poured their earnest desire never to repeat war again and for children to be happy into picture books. This sentiment has been passed down to the next generations of picture book creators, sowing many seeds of peace in children's hearts. This exhibition will showcase picture books drawn with thoughts of peace and those depicting war.
